I am a bilingual Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC 2262) in California. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy and combine mindful practices with cognitive behavioral therapy and other evidence-based interventions to better address the individual needs of clients. I understand that at times life might seem uncontrollable and we are left without orientation or guidance. Having a safe space where you can express yourself authentically and be heard non-judgmentally and with compassion can be the most important step of the healing process. That, followed by professional skillful guidance can lead to clarity of mind and openness of heart to better deal with life circumstances affecting you in the present.
I have extensive experience treating children, adolescents, and adults providing therapy in individual, couples, and family sessions. My specialties include anxiety and mood disorders, ADHD, trauma-related issues, attachment, relationship issues, grief and loss, and life transitions. I provide an experiential type of therapy that focuses on integration of body, mind, and emotions to better manage personal ups and downs and ultimately have a more harmonious view of life.
Some of my trainings and experience include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness based interventions, TEAM-CBT by David Burns, MD., Trauma-Focused CBT, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing EMDR, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy DBT, Internal Family Systems IFS, Play Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Non-Violent Communication by Marshal Rosenberg, and Couples Therapy using the Gottman’s Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy,.
